Disclosure
A plain account of how outbound links and commercial relationships work on Worth Importing, what we currently earn, and what we don’t.
Many find detail pages include outbound links — to shops, marketplaces, brand sites, or source pages. We track these clicks on our own server so we can understand which finds genuinely help readers. We do not share that data with third parties, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Not every outbound link is an affiliate link. At the moment, the majority are not. A URL that contains markers like tag=is not necessarily ours — it may be the third-party seller’s own affiliate parameter that we preserved when we captured the link.
If Worth Importing uses an affiliate or sponsored link, it will be disclosed near the relevant page or link, in plain language. The short version: small grey paragraph above or next to the action button. No badges, no banners, no surprises.
We do not currently want to imply guaranteed commission from every commerce link. If you see a find without an active affiliate disclosure, treat it as editorial — we are not earning from your click.
We do not run banner-ad-driven recommendations. We do not list objects we would not recommend to a friend in exchange for payment. Commercial relationships do not guarantee inclusion or positive treatment.
Reader trust and editorial fit come first. The commerce layer comes after. The full standard is set out on the editorial policy page.
